...thank you... Just brought it home this morning and hope to shoot it this weekend... As an aside I did shoot the engraved Uberti yesterday afternoon...trigger breaks clean but is much stiffer than the Colt...and for that matter the Colt is lighter than the SM... My eyes and "iron sights" are again compatible... Cataracts had degenerated the vision to the point of just about blind in the left eye...and the right one not far behind...shooting was no longer enjoyable... Had them done three weeks ago and now can read license plates across the street... Sight alignment and sight picture are now both in focus and crystal clear... Bob I'm proud for you on finding the gorgeous revolver, but nowhere near as proud as I am to hear you've got your vision back. We take what the good Lord blesses us with for granted until it is gone. You are one of the lucky ones who has got some back!!! Randy

I bought one a few years ago and it is a shooter with the 270 SAA. My one piece grip upgrade was not. Alan Harton made one piece grips for it that are proper. Every bit of a USAF that I have owned. What was the problem with Standard's one-piece grips? (curious, as I have an inbound Standard SAA with one-piece grips and have only owned the version with the two-piece grips)

Got to shoot the gun yesterday...the 8.0/700X/250 grain bullets are a "little" stiff for the gun...hits right to the sights at 20 yards..

Junk wood on mine. Ugly to be truthful on the grips supplied.

Isn’t/wasn’t figured stocks an up charge option? Thought I remembered that from when I was shopping for one.

Mine would get replaced with stag, so plain is fine by me.

..not that I have seen. I've seen a lot of them down at a shop in Connecticut not far from the factory and for "standard" wood it is a crap shoot. One can probably order custom wood and pay an upgrade but for one that gets shipped to a dealer just don't know what one is going to get.
