400 grain, 460 grain and 510 grain moving at 1000fps out of 7.5 inch barrel from a FA M83 as advertised. I did shoot yet but getting ready. A few of the 400s did not rotate, did not fit my M83. I know this does not really answer your question but at least you know the do reload for the 500WE.

Please email me with the quantities of the ammunition in question and I will replace it. However, given the tight tolerances of the FAs, I check all ammunition in my Model 83 prior to shipment to ensure that this is not an issue. It’s possible that fouling is causing a hang-up.

No need to replace any. The person teaching me how to reload said these things happen with FA tolerances and using reformed brass. He would NOT take on the project so I’m glad somebody is reloading for this caliber. I still have to get out and shoot, my gun has never been fired. The advertised velocities on your web site should be tamer coming out of a 5.5 inch barrel, at least I hope. Out of the three loads, I want to see which one I shoot the best, then order 100 in that load. Again, no worries about the hang ups. More to come. Unlike the other two designs, they require some pressure to chamber in my gun due to the long full caliber bearing surface forward of the crimp groove. I size them to .500", as I find that .501" is incompatible with the FAs (this was also my experience with the Jamison .500 WE cases). I will try sizing to .499" in the future, at least with this design.

rivercane: PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOUR BENGAL BULLETS, PC'ed, GC'ed, HP OR NOT, BRINNELL HARDNESS, etc. All of our bullets are PCed. Some designs are PB, though most are GC (GCs are optional, however). I don't currently offer any HP designs. I offer a ~15 BHN option and a ~22 BHN option. Many of our designs are tailored toward specialty applications, such as our +L bullets for the new Colt Anacondas and the S&W 500s. Most of my early work centered around providing bullets for big bore rifle cartridges, like the .577 and .600 NEs. I have quite a few new designs to add to the catalog, though I haven't gotten to it yet.

I bought 50 of the reformed brass a while back. Seems to work ok so I just ordered 100 more to put up.

I went back and was able to load all but one round. I did have to push a few hard to get them in but cylinder rotated flawlessly. In about three weeks, hand injury should be good to go and shoot the loads.
Sorry if the the information was inaccurate, but at least now it’s confirmed.
