I’m going to experiment with a red dot on the 97… Holosun 507k. So I just ordered the base from FA… while I was on the phone she asked if the could do anything else for me. Why not ask for the load that they test fired the gun with! Took her two seconds to inform me…20.0 grains H-110 , CCI 350 primer topped with a Hornady 210 gr XTP. No excuses now!! lol P.s this is for the 41 mag

Yep! They gave me their 83 44 magnum load years ago and I’ve always stuck with that because it shoots great and the XTP has performed well on paper and game at a reasonable price.



The RMR base on the 97 is as sleek a setup as you’ll find.

I never thought to ask them about their test load.

I do know that 20.5 grains of H-110 and a Winchester WLP is the most accurate load I have found so far in my 7.5" model 83!

I just put a Holosun EPS Carry (miniature) on my FA97 .41 mag. I used the FA RMR mount and added an adapter plate from C&H Precision. It's a slick setup and that little Holosun is scaled down nicely so it isn't so bulky on a chest holster. Thanks for sharing FA's load data on the .41 mag.

I put a Deltapoints on two 83s with their mount. Rock solid!
