Here is a pic pf my grandpa and his best friend Bill Weaver of Weaver Optics fame. The were best friends and hunted southern New Mexico together. Both of them lived in El Paso. I never knew grandpa. He died in 1956. My aunts all told me that of all of his grand kids I was the most like him.  |

Super cool! Wouldn’t it be great to know the story of the kill! Thanks for sharing! He hunted all over southern New Mexico and west Texas. I know that they hunted the land that became Mc Gregor range a lot so this could have been from there. I have letters about some of his hunts but not from this one. Bill Weaver was one of a group of men that met on Sunday afternoons at grandpa's house in the lower valley in El Paso. I have some more pics when I get around to posting them. |
