I shot one of those wood stocked 110 savage 30-06 back in the 80's. It felt like I had put a 4x4 up to my shoulder and someone hit the end with a sledgehammer. Back then recoil didn't bother me much, but that thing was ridiculous.

It will definitely slap me around, that is for sure. I had shoulder reconstruction two years ago and this thing reminded me of that in about 8 rounds. If it were my rifle, I wouldn't want to shoot anything twice.
