Wow those are beautiful gun. I always wanted a levergun in 50AK or 50-110. They both ( Marlin and Winchester) cycle 500 Linebaugh max cartridges perfectly as well. Might loose a little accuracy jumping 1/2” into the rifling, but at danger close ranges with a toothsome critter, it should be just fine. realistically the No1 will chamber from a 50 Bowen, .510GNR, 500L, 500L Max, 50AK, and 50-110. Maybe some of the old BP .520 rounds too. Lots of chamber cleaning if trying all the shortys. |

  The Skinner sight fits nicely, I was able to place 3 of the original 4 screws on it. A buddy has the tap I need to D/T 1 more hole, to hold up the the “ light” recoil of the 50-110. Looks good so far. |

i have a TC Encore with a 23" MGM heavy factory barrel in 500 Linebaugh. i use HS-6 and a 450gr LFN going 1235fps. if i do 3 shots at 100 yards, it is under a inch. 5 shots is 1 1/4 - 1 1/2" group. the rifle is a 2-7x Leopold, it used to be a Skinner sight.  |
