That 6.5 JDJ will do a job on the smaller critters. I meant like a 22mag. Not hard to pack an extra barrel. This refers to the fact that Bushog just acquired my old 6.5 JDJ

Sounds like a heck of a lot of fun.
I'd like to go for cape buffalo someday. Not sure which other animals I'd like, but I know for sure that one.

I suggest to anyone going on a safari that they include some of the gazelle (Thompson's is most popular), upland birds ( most hunters focus on the plains game and really miss out), as well as the smaller game ( Dik Dik is a very tasty 10 pound antelope and very challenging). The fishing is also interesting.
My mentor told me my first day in camp that I could hunt everyday for the rest of my life (I was 26 then) and never see all the species, let alone take them.

Congrats and hope you have a fantastic trip! I plan on building a 9.3x62 soon. In fact just purchased 300 pieces of brass. How do the Barnes compare with the Accubonds? I used the original 250 gr TSX in 2002. It worked great on eland on down.
