Holster for red dot

Going to try a vortex venue red dot on my Bisley ? Needs recommendations on a holster for if I decide to keep the red dot on it.

I’ve used a Galco SAO and simply took a razor blade and cut the necessary slot, cut small first and enlarge as needed. You could also have a custom one made, Back Country Leather should get you a reasonably quick turn around. I had Randy make me a chest rig for a SRH with the slot for it in case I decided to “dot” it.

I already have a simple rugged pancake for it I was contemplating doing that

The pancake style would not be a good one to try it with. The cut you need to make would be where the leather is sewn, not a good spot IMO.

I really like the GunFighter's Inc chest system, called the Kenai, where one can buy their first holster (harness and kydex holster) then buy just the holsters and swap the harness to other holsters. As of just today I emailed them again, asking they modify their holsters to accomodate reddot sights. Their first response was

"we do not produce a mold that will clear a reddot mounted to a revolver.
