So, from November of 1982 through March of 1983 Ruger seemed consistent in roll marking Maxim frames. A couple of days, every other month. doing as many as 1285 frames a day. Now, on March 11, 1983 there were two, start and two stops listed. there were 959 frames marked in the first 1/2 of the day, 709 the second 1/2. I believe that is when Ruger changed their roll mark on the frame that indicates the Model. Normally you see Blackhawk and Maximum on the left side of the frame. But, and I have the used roll dies to prove it, they changed the marking to include the letters "SRM" I have several "scrapped" Maximums from 13809 to 14984 that have the new roll mark. The highest one I have that does not have the SRM 11577, which is a complete gun. I also have 600-14120, a complete gun, given to Joe Callahan, head of Remington Ammunition Marketing, by Bill Jr. Pretty sure that this is the ONLY Maximum in existence with the new roll mark, as Ruger records informed me that everything above 600-11588 has been "scrapped" Now, there is always the possibility that...................So, once again, if any one out there has a Max with the serial number from 600-12424 to 600-13384 I'd love to know how it is marked on the left side of the frame. These should be scrapped guns.......thanks for looking, Jack.

Keep it coming Jack! Love it all!
The two scrapped ones I know of are well below the serial number 600-11588.
