Ratchet Restriction Tab broke on my Dillon 1050. Contacted Dillon for help. In less than an hour I received an email that a replacement part was on the way. Love my Dillon loaders!
FWIW I've been in the Dillon family since the RL 450. Owned and used 450, 550, 650, SD, SDB, 1050, and Super 1050... Nothing but positive happenings to report

I love my Dillon! Just an old 450 a friend sold me cheap when he got a 550. Cleaned it up and works like new. Stays set up for 45 Colt. Customer service is top notch.

Have a 550, love it. I have loaded everything up to, but not including the 470NE. Dillon made me up a conversion kit for it, but would require switching out the base plate to occomodate the larger rim, so I decided to just load the 470NE on a single stage press instead.

I’m trying to get into a Dillon for 45colt, 45acp, and 10mm…..still having a hard time committing the coin. I hate seeing my money spent rust up in my shop.

Great company ! I bought the spare parts pkg for my machines. I know Dillon will send replacement parts ,having spares on hand keeps u going! Side note Dillon fans, have you seen the Armanov bullet feeder? Mounts right on the case feeder! Out of stock for the 223 though. Great price point!

I too am a long time Dillon fan.
As for the "coin" required to own them,, I too took a bit of time (way back when) to take the plunge. When I got into USPSA competition,, it was the thing I needed to put me over the edge to get a Dillon. Even then,, I studied long & hard,, before deciding to get the 650 with the case feeder. I've never regretted the decision. And I've gotten a few more Dillon set-ups since. I could sell my Dillon's now for MORE than what's invested in them.
And yes,, the FEW times I've needed a part,, their "No BS" warranty has proven that my choice was a good one.
I once had a SDB have a link arm break. It was a surprise to them,, but even funnier was their reaction when I said; "It was a Saturday,, and I needed ammo. I used some Dillon Blue 200 MPH duct tape to temporarily fix it & kept loading. The guy I was talking to said; "I've never seen Dillon Blue duct tape!" I said; "Son,, where I am is Nascar country. We have ALL the colors you'd need & it has to withstand 200 MPH. I had his name,, so I took the last of a roll, wrote a quick note,, and mailed it to him at Dillon!

I bought my first Dillon 550 in the mid 1990s, at the time I decided I should have some spare parts on hand so I purchased them as well. Shortly after buying my first 550 I decided to purchase a second so that I could have one press setup for small primers and one setup for large primers. Turns out the spare parts purchase was unwarranted, as I have never used any of the spare parts on either of my Dillons. I have spoken to Dillon Customer Service a couple of times early on about aspects of using the press and I can report that those conversations were always helpful and informative. While I believed at the time the price of those presses was high, I now feel after all of these years, that those two 550s are probably the best buys I ever made with regard to firearms equipment. Great company indeed!

I had a fire in my shop about 8 years ago, my gun room was on the backside of the shop and mostly went up also. I would get physically ill going in to try and sort through what was salvageable and what was junk. The fumes from the fire were very corrosive and locked up the ram of my 550. My wife called them to see if there was any way of saving it, they offered to give us dealers cost on anything we would need to get back up and loading.
If you do go ahead with a 550 purchase, I have only found one weak/problem area on my 550. It is in the automatic primer feed assembly. The base of it is aluminum with a channel in it for the primer arm to slide in. There are two allen head bolts that come up from the bottom to hold it in place. If you tighten those bolts too much, it could squash the aluminum channel and cause it to rub on the primer arm. So when you switch from large to small primer arms, just tighten those two bolts to good and snug. I gave mine a really good crank on the wrench. So over the years it caused the holes for the bolts to swell and the primer arm started to stick sometimes. Dillon warrantied the part even though I was the one who broke it.

Same here on the spare parts ….till you change the case plate and that little index ball goes bouncing into the third realm!, lol I actually used every part in the sdb kit to rebuild the machine after 30 years of use!
