I'm a long time fan of the .357 SIG cartridge and early on in the LEO fad years I bought a couple of SIG branded (one all SS and one Alloy/steel) DA/SA .357 SIG autos, and later on built a 1911 commander, S&W M&P, Beretta 92X in .357 SIG and others. So you can see how much I like the caliber.

But the one I always wanted was the SIG P229S and yesterday I stumbled on one and it came home. I can't wait to run it through the paces later on this week.

The Sig guns in 357 have always been a favorite. I have a few 226 and 229s. Great guns.

I don't even own a Sig gun but I built a long slide Glock in 357 Sig. One of my favorite autos. Killed a few deer with it. Underwood 125 Gold Dots chrony 1515 from its 6.02" barrel.

Shot one of the 229 Sports at SIG back about 1998...really liked it but didn't buy one till last year...really great shooter.

My dad bought a 229 in .357 SIG. Light recoil, extremely accurate, great trigger, 100% reliability.

.357 SIG is one of my two favorites for compact semiautos. The other one is 40 S&W. That said, I still have a 9mm or two floating around here somewhere.
