Hello, I was measuring my cylinder notch depths on both my 45lc and 45acp at the deepest side of the notch in the direct center with calipers. Mine are reading .05 or 50 thousandths of an inch. I was wondering what everyone else’s depths are?
The reason I ask is I plan to modify the cylinders to turn this gun into a race/fanning configuration, thus the notches need to have a depth of atleast .05’ at their deepest point. From what I’ve read the notches generally come from the factory at a depth of .04’

That should be enough but more importantly would be the setup of the bolt and shaping of the bolt head. You'll need to install a bolt block and an action stop as well.
