Poineer silhouetter and Python Maestro Jery Moran sent me the link. Looks like S&W bought T/C tooling and parts inventory lock, stock & barrel, neatly archived it all----without setting up production----now a new owner is trucking hardware & machines back to Rochester NH to continue where T/C left off. Warren Center had worked at Harrington & Richardson in Massachusetts, including on the M-14, bur was unable to interest H&R in his radical single shot pistol. Warren found a home for his pistol up the road at Ken Thompson's tool company. May the spirit of Warren Center continue.
Warren Center, Dan Wesson, and Bill Ruger understood firearms manufacturing before, during, and after World War II. True spirits of Gun Alley and, let’s not forget, enthusiasts of handgun silhouette and disciplined marksmanship. David Bradshaw

With T/C starting back up, I wonder what will happen with the SSK50 frame production? I really like my Contender. The only complaint I have with it is you have to break it open to be able to recock the hammer if you have to let it down. It would be great if T/C could bring back the recoil proof scope line. I had one on a 45-70 barrel that I probably loaded way to hot. The crosshairs rotated slightly inside, but everything still works.

Im guessing ssk50 has noyhing to do with the new tc so itll keep on its merry way. Im sure the legal stuff slowing down the ssk50 at the beginning was probably smith being butthurt because they were trying to dump off tc and didne like someone jumping on an expired patent without getting paid at least thats my guess. If they hadnt brought the g1 back it would be gone forever because theres zero chance tc or smith was gonna go backwards since they have the "improved" g2 and encore. Personally ill take the g1, i dont have a problem giving a quick flick of the triggerguard to recock
