I don't recall and can't find a product in the basement that rings a bell for me, from past use. Now with 2 slimline 9mm's here and extra mags, trying to recall what I used, and now, what do you guys use ? I'm thinking a dry spray, wether silicone or graphite...no clue, memory on vacation. I've a 3-in-one small can meant for car door locks. No mention of materials to avoid, or if silicone or graphite left behind when dry. ?

On the race guns I used dry silicone spray from Napa. Never used anything on a carry guns.

I wouldn't use graphite, you'll probably be sorry. Mess wise.
Silicone would work, teflon would work. Depending on what you use, they may leave a white film though. Inside the mag well wouldn't matter though.

For all mags I use a product from Brownells; "Magslick" It's a spray (silicone??) that dries. Have used it for years. Only plastic gun here is the disposable G19; Never lube or clean it.
Magslick also works great on the Dillon 550s primer slides; eliminates the"gumming up" of liquid lube.

For me during competitive use, just dry, and clean of dust, debris, and grit. I would think anything other than a dry film producing spray would hold dust, grit and debris in the mag. I still use this method for all my magazines.

Have been using G96 Silicone spray on all my firearms for over 20 years...works great on Glocks and leaves no mess... Very fine spray...
