I tried some cast bullets in my henry this morning. I tried a Rimrock 255 SWC and a GT 240 grain HP. Neither bullet would feed. The nose would catch on the bottom of the barrel when the bolt pushed it forward. ZI think it would work with 44 special casses. I will check web sights for a more suitable cast bullet...tj

Could you seat the bullets just a bit deeper & try that?

What's your OAL for the loaded rounds? Not the same bullets, but I ran some Montana Bullet Works SWC lead bullets through a 44 Mag X Model without problems. I used OALs of 1.630 for the 215 gr bullets and 1.675 for the 240 gr bullets.

I have the bullet seated to the bottom of the band I think I could get it to work with 44 special cases, But I found that the 240 grain SWCs from Rim Rock feed fine. So i think I will just use them for now...tj
