Seriously, I have hammer thumb and the tape works as a very good splint to keep me from bending the thumb. FWIW, between the last tape change, the thumb didn't pop at all when I'd bend it...

Severely spoiled by the S&W DX front sight and Ruger's similar front sight. Hate hammering sights into dovetails.
