The wife and I went out to do some abatement work this evening. I scouted the property looking for travel routes and core areas. She sat at corn feeder that had a dripping stock waterer that was overflowing and making a shallow mud hole. She was able to take two feral pig sows, from her sitting spot. One at 6pm and another at 830ish, both with her 657 and 210gr. Speers, both at 40ish yards and no tracking required. These were her third and fourth animals taken with a handgun.

Congratulations to Mrs. Trapr, she's getting pretty good buddy! Dick Next week I’ll be swapping those 210 Speers for some of those 250LFNHP I got from you. So she can practice up for next years black bear hunt. I chrono’d a nice easy shooting load for them last week, 1150fps. Now to just check accuracy and tweak the load if needed. Trapr

Sounds like you do not need to make her mad with shooting like that. She sounds like a fine shooter with her 41, congrats to her!

She picked a good choice. Not a lot of recoil, but the 41 kills far better than most think it should be able to.

Way to get it done! I love the .41 mag. Any report on the 250LFNHP? I have a bunch of Cast Performance LBT 255gr WFNGC bullets for the .414 but am going to experiment with them in the FA97.

Have not shot them on game from a 41mag, did smack a pig with one from my 414sm. Accuracy has been excellent.

Hope to use Roy Fishpaws old model 41 mag for deer hunting this year. Roy has a good sized low budget 1” tube RD on it that I pulled and Glenn machined a neat little short rail for it that a RMR will mount to. Roy had mounted the long rail to the top strap and the barrel so Zeus is making an octagon barrel minus all the holes Roy had installed!
Roy had made THE coolest set of grips for the gun that almost look like bisley grips with finger grooves then he inset a small silver rams head emblem. Definitely one of those heirloom guns just because of caliber, former owner and work done by a great friend.
