Saw this Hawes Western Marshall .22 and had to buy it….My last name is Hawes, so you see why. Perfect gun to pass down to my grandson in a few years.

My uncle gave me a Hawes 22 Revolver when I was in my early teens. He followed by giving me a Browning Nomad when I was 15.
Some 45+ years later, the Hawes is still in the family residing with a nephew and the Nomad is tucked away in my safe.
Great grab for you...

Looks real similar to the Colt Frontier Scout I inherited from my dad and gave now given to my grandson whose name is Scout! That little gun is in my shop getting a new set of walnut grips made for it.

I have one stamped 68. It is loose now and spits lead something awful.

If you can find a Hawes centerfire single action also. It would make a nice set and they are much nicer guns.

Marlin35, and others..I've no idea what it might take to un-loosen that 22 ? Cost prohibitive ?

Marlin35, and others..I've no idea what it might take to un-loosen that 22 ? Cost prohibitive ? I’m not sure, the barrel is pinned, but loose. And there is quite a bit of play at cylinder lock up. The entire symphony of dimensions is out of whack.
