Otis has one for 50 cal rifle and pistols, and they want $69 for it and Brownells sells it for $53 plus tax and shipping. It looks like a $20 kit overpriced to $53. From doing internet searches that is the only cleaning kit that will work for my 500 JRH; however, I doubt everyone out there with a 500 JRH, 500L, or 500 S&W are using the Otis one. What do you 50 cal revolver shooters use for cleaning your 500 JRH, L, S&W?

Check the muzzleloader section of your local dispensary. Even our area Walmart carries brushes, jags, and mops for the 50 cals.

I don't have a .50 anything, but I never buy cleanng kits anyway. Made up my own many, many, many years ago. I'm sort of an easy mark when I find wooden boxes for sale, or even free at times. Buy the rods as required and add stuff as you progress. And, your revolver does not have to be antisepticaly clean. Bob Wright

I have a universal kit that I have .50 cal jags and brushes for. I use it in my .500 Linebaugh and .50 cal Clements Ruger Old Army.

I use muzzleloader brass brushes and a pistol length jag made by John Linebaugh. My patch loop is for handguns that was found on eBay. Most 50cal rifle brushes are way too long.
