I noticed two of these on gun auction sites. I ran a serial number and it shows these are 2024 runs. Are these JUST rolling off the lines and hitting stores, or am I a bit behind and these are well known? Always been a 45LC fan, but the plain unfluted cylinder with no scrolling and the 4 5/8" barrel really make me want to try and grab one.
Anyone have one yet that can comment on their QC and build?

There have been lots of them on G-broker over the last couple months. SS flattop 44spl bisleys are out again, as well.

I have a blued one. Typical fit & finish of any production revolver. Nothing on mine is out of kelter. It’s a fine shooter just wish it was 5 1/2” instead. I jumped on it because they are scarce as hens teeth in my neck of the woods.

I've had the stainless SBH Bisley 44 Mag in 3 3/4" and 5 1/2" for a year or so but just recently found the 4 5/8" to go with them.
Recently also found BH Bisley Flattop 44 Specials in 4 5/8" and 5 1/2". .....fit and finish is not what it used to be, but Ruger seems to be putting out more revolvers lately.

Chief- You have a BLUED Bisley 4 5/8" with unfluted cylinder? This a custom cut-down or factory production? Years old or brand new? That would really interest me. Take lots of shipping back and forth to have one cut down.

Just peeked at the Lipsey's website; i'm an FFL. They have the 4-5/8" and 7-1/2", SS versions in stock. Not the Bisley which is what I want to round out my collection.

I see a 0876 that was a 2021 Lipsey's run. Stainless SBH in 44 Mag w Bisley grip. But I swore I ran an number that showed 2024 production, and swore it was Stainless Bisley configuration

This is smart, on their part, but frustrating when an unexpected run shows up, and your bank account is low.

OP, I have a 2014 SBH Bisley Hunter and a 2014 SBH Bisley 3 3/4" custom build (both .44's) so I can't comment on current builds but if you can snag that shorter barrel do it. The 7 1/2" Hunter is pretty nose heavy, and the 3 3/4" is a great packing gun, I think the 4 5/8" will be a dandy one to have.

Compared to a number of more recently built SS Bisley’s I’ve come across, in various calibers, my grip frame matches the “normal” dimensions of my 2003 Accusport SS Bisley, and my blued Bisley’s grip frames. The newer ones are a bit thicker, front to back, and I hate them. My 44 shorty is currently with Ronnie Wells, for an Aluminum bisley Junior upgrade, but I’m saving the SS grip frame for something else. The SS bisley grip frames I’ve gotten out of Midway recently are way oversized, and need filing back to normal dimensions.

Great.....I snagged a Midway Bisley SS GF too. I'll put that off until temps cool down and winter boredom overtakes me.
Sticking with 45LC I bought that used 7.5" Bisley. I just need to stay focused and get it sent off to Reeder or the like for a pruning. It's where I truly want to end up at blued/Bisley/45LC in 4.62" Just wish it was factory turn key. Not so much

Not so much For a chop job and tune up, you can consider Fink's also. He does good work and is working out of the Gunsite gunsmith shop now. Bobby Tyler recommended him, so that tells me something

I failed...of course it depends on how you look at it. I succumbed.....better way to look at it. It's coming in the next few days.

I ran across a 5.5" SS 44 mag Bisley BH at the LGS. Very nice fit and finish and a .004 b/c gap. I've been looking for a 45 Colt but this one has my attention at $899. I may just get it and if it doesn't shoot well as a 44, send it for a 45 conversion. Any thoughts on it?
