Reloading numerous calibers on this press for 40 years no issues. Finally decided to load 9mm as buying ammo in this state is fooked! I bought the conversion kit ,installed it and away I went! I am having intermittent fails to deprime. Never had this happen with other calibers. Sent a email off to Dillon and awaiting their response. Die is fully seated and pin looks good! Any of you folks have had a similar experience with the 9mm?

Strange Dillion thing for me was on a 550 and my .32 Mag dies. Primers would come out stuck to the end of the de-priming pin. Then on the up stroke it would pull the primer back up into the case like it never happened. HOW it could stick firm enough to do this, I do not know. But it did.
I ended up adding more of a point to the pin (RCBS dies IIRC) and it went away. Never had this happen with any other dies.

Went on the webs looking and the event you have experienced is a thing. Folks have sharpened or beveled the pin. If that’s happening, like u said ,I can’t believe the primer gets stuck enough to be perfectly reseated on the up stroke. Gonna give the pin a massage!

I own 10 SDB's. This is not uncommon for me to see on my machines. I shim the pin out a little until they don't "stick" in the primer pockets any more. Just a little soda can material under the pin then tighten the cap down. Easy peasey...

Just a little soda can material under the pin then tighten the cap down. Easy peasey... Excellent idea! I text Dillon and they directed me to an online video addressing the problem. Two fixes, sand the tip by rolling it with sandpaper between your fingers or filing the rounded tip flat which I did. Out of a hundred cases two still stuck. I set up the Lee universal decaping die in the single stage press and addressed the two there. I thought for sure they would send me an extended decapping pin as a fix. Maybe the way the machine is configured you couldn’t use a longer pin. You have proved that theory wrong! So shimming away I go! Thanks again! P.s. love to see 10 sqd all set up!

In the past Lee dies with the collet decap pin vexed me and sometimes I'd find a decapping pin too large to decap especially if the flash hole were punched and some brass obscured the hole a bit. I just took the pin and ground a bit off the diameter.
Other than those two instances I never had a problem.

The shim under the pin was the solution! Couple hundred rounds loaded with no issues!
