Just say NO! I have a nicely made stainless Double Action Deringer in 38 spl. Easily capable of shooting 38+P so I gave it a try. NOPE never again. Standard 38 from here on out. Cyclops design grip or not 44 mag is about 10 degrees of pain higher so I ain't going there.

I hear we have one of the 50AE guns coming... Glad I spent all my money on conversion cylinders for my Ruger Old Army.

Hard pass! There is a guy local to me selling one in 45-70. “Been fired once” is his claim in the add. I believe him! I bet he fired it twice. The first time and the LAST time!

I bought a Bond Arms 45 Colt/410 one time. I will have to admit that was one of, if not the lowest intelligence moment of my gun buying career. An answer to a question that hasn't been asked yet. Got rid of that mistake quickly after shooting it some.

Admittedly, this is an unusual purchase for me. I want one "JUST BECAUSE" I can. I can not imagine a more cool paperweight and conversation piece.
I've got two BFRs chambered in 50 AE. So, loading reduced loads will be easy.

A friend built a prototype derringer in 454 Casull about 20yrs ago. After the first two test rounds it's been his favorite paperweight.

I always wondered if 45 ACP was about the perfect "big bore" Derringer. Good enough for self-defense and you have possibilities of snake shot and other stuff. I liked the idea of the 357 but figured that would more or less split your eardrums.
