Looks like im going to get a 500 later this week. I have probably 4 lbs of 800x powder that my brother gave me. Anyone have any data for the 500 or 500jrh. I have the usual powders for the jrh from light loads to hang on. The jrh is going down the road as i guess i favor double action guns.

Are you looking for Data for just the 800X ? I don't think I've seen any data for 800X for the 500JRH or 500S&W. You will probably have to see where it sits on the burn rate scale and SWAG it. Luckily the X frame is built very strong. I would start with pistol primers instead or rifle primers, it will be easier to read the pistol primers for pressures guesses. If you get flat rifle primers, you are already way over pressure...
My GRT has expired, does anyone have a running version to see if it has 800X in it's powder library?

800X might not be the best choice for the 500 S&W, as it needs to be compressed to get the best velocity and consistency. I have used it in 45 super and 460 Rowland and both of them are compressed loads. It might work with the 700gr bullets but I bet there are better choices in powder for them as well.

500 S&W is primarily an H110, 296, Lil Gun and MP300 venture for full house loads and we all know not to use Lil Gun in revolvers.

In my searches i didn't see any info on 800x in the 500. Was hoping someone on here had some info on it as it was free powder. I can always use it in o ne of my 10mm guns.
