I bought my first revolver in 1984. A Dan Wesson model 15 NIB with a 6" VH barrel. The gun is super accurate and I've taken a few deer with it as well. Since 1984, I have acquired several revolvers both factory and custom in calibers ranging from 218 Mashburn Bee to 510 GNR. All this time I have never owned a 41 magnum, although I am currently watching a FA on Gunbroker. When the opportunity to pick up this Ruger Bisley in 41 magnum at a heck of a price was presented to me, I jumped on it. The gun is very tight with few signs of being shot very much. The trigger is crisp at 2 lbs. 8 oz. Although the factory wood looked decent, I couldn't resist adding these Desert Ironwood Burl when I saw the grain pattern. Since I was planning to carry the gun with open sights, I decided to upgrade there as well. A quick phone call to Fermin Garza and I had a brass bead front and a 2 Dogs # 8 on the way. Accuracy has been great with the two bullets that I've tried, but it really likes a 210 grain cast hollow point from my MP mold traveling at 1355 fps.

I love the 41 magnum, and you found a dandy, I didn't know Ruger had a 5.5 blued bisley in 41, do you know if the barrel has been shortened? Or maybe it was someone's custom

Like you Randy, I came into 41’s late, but have really appreciated the performance of the round. It makes me think of all the SW 57s I passed on back in the 80’s because I was more interested in 29’s

Nice find, it would be hard to beat that six gun right there, although the group could use a little help Dick

That was a great catch ! That desert ironwood is beautiful wood too, and really shines on a blued Bisley.

Most likely s cut down 7 1/2” bisley based on screwed on front sight and how well the gripframe to main frame flow. Do not think they made a factory bisley blued 41.
Great looking grips and very nice shooting!
