I DON'T EVEN PUT MINE ON THE TRIPOD, I JUST SIT IT ON THE TABLE/BENCH. YOU NEVER EVER HAVE TO WONDER, ESTIMATE OR GUESS MV OR WAIT FOR THE SUN TO BE RIGHT AGAIN, AN AMAZING little bugger!

I love mine. Bought it after hanging with Rey for a few days and seeing his in action. Worth every nickel.

No point in buying any other. This one tops them all.

You need to call Randy and get one of his stands…. Big improvement. Helps with our Western wind…

I’ve been looking for one that costs less than 600.00 and the best I can do is 540.00,………..I really like the convenience of it but need to see if the convenience is 6X better than my current one. It probably is I’m just being a miser.

It probably is I’m just being a miser. Trapr It is worth it. Mine stays charged for a long time. Takes 15 seconds to set up. I can use on anything. The first thing I tried was a pellet gun in the backyard. It has not missed a shot. It measures very consistently even when moved around. My little tripod has not faltered and has never fallen over. I use this chrony far more often. I really get a broad look at what loads will do over larger samples. One of the great products of recent years.

I'm going to test a few more guns today that I've shot before through my Chrony & see how they compare just out of curiosity. You wouldn't want one of these getting blown over by the wind but a couple of small sandbags around the legs will take care of that. Sure wish I would have had this thing the time Callshot ate those bad beans & was running for that pole fence with the napkins in his hand. Pretty sure he broke the sound barrier!

They are great. We run them on the line at matches. They only pick up your rifle. The new LabRadar is a little heavier but I love the Garmin. They hit a homerun with these.

About a month ago,, while working on building some loads for my DIL,, and needing to chrono them,, I was discussing the Garmin with Miss Penny again. She'd tried to get me one as a Christmas present but none were to be had. Sold out everywhere. We were going to a restaurant that day,, in a town with a Cabelas. She looked them up online,, AND made a phone call. They had one,, and she asked me if I wanted my B-Day present early. Off to Cabelas. Using my military discount,, we got it out the door for under $600. I was happy. Plus,, I found a nice S&W M-57 in their gun library to go home with me as well.
The very next day,, out on my range,, I too discovered how EASY & FUN it was to use over my Ohler 35P. Like Dick,, even I,, with my very limited abilities with modern, fancy, computer type stuff, I was EASY to use. I have since chronoed more stuff in the last month or so,, than I'd done in the last 6 months. I even have a friend,, who has a NIB Caldwell one that we set up right beside my Garmin. I was shooting his gun & testing his loads,, as he was trying to write down the data from his Caldwell. I later printed out his data from my Garmin.
His comment to me; "You really are helping me spend my money!" I see a Garmin in his future.
I plan to set up my Garmin AND my Ohler side by side to see how each one varies vs the other one.

Handloader did a comparison between the 35P, Labradar, and the new Garmin on a YouTube video. All within one fps of each other for the most part.

I keep joking about not using it because I forget I have it, but it's the truth.

They really are that great! So simple to operate and small enough to always be in your range bag!
