I got this Richards-Maison Navy colt convertion from Harry Levin in a trade for my old Ballard rifle. I got to take it to the range today and to say I'm pleased is an understatement. I didn't put it on paper, but I was consistently hitting eight inch plates at 25 yards offhand and shooting point of aim. This sight( or lack there off) is going to take some getting use to. It's chambered in 38 spl, but I know not to hotrod these guns. Loaded it with 3.8 grs of Trail Boss and a 140 cast bullet. It shot much better than I thought it would with the sights it's got. You can see the front sight in the pictures above. Here is the rear sight . Has anyone else here got one of these.

I have the 44 colt version. Fun to shoot and very pretty to look at!

There's something especially nice about the brass/CH/blued pieces. At least for me. That they still work, just makes ya grin ! steve b

I have a Cimarron 1872 Open Top in .44 Russian that is a little gem. One of the nicest things about it is the fact that it is so "little". Without the top strap of a SAA it really is a sleak package.
And you are correct, not a hot-rod revolver, but no need as it is a pure pleasure to carry and shoot just the way it is.
