Made my morning. I was in the woods shooting.Thats a good day already. I was destroying a Gatorade bottle. When I wanted a bigger challenge. There 5 feet from the Gatotade bottle was it's lid. Laying flat 25 yards away. Not an easy target. Chose my John Powers custom 4 5/8ths flat top .357 wondering how many rounds will I need to fire before I hit it. Not only did I nail it 1st shot, I hit the edge and got it airborne a few inches. It spun like Frisbee and landed 10 feet a way. I got a great charge out of that! ...tj

James You are so right, same thing in sports too. I was only decent ball player, but only the hit stay with me 25 years after I quit playing!

Golf balls. Tough to follow when hit (erratic direction depending on location of hit). Keep shooting as long as in sight. Make sure you have a safe direction or high back stop to shoot into.
Best done with a .22. When hit solidly with a bigger bore, you will never find them again.
Every once in a while some one will leave one or more at the range.

I like popping off shots at shotshell hulls people leave on the berms. One of my best shots was shooting an empty 12 Ga. shell. I put a bullet through the open end and out through the brass base. Not once, but I did this twice, but on shot cut some of the body of the shell. Bob Wright

Funny thing about those incredible shots..there’s rarely anybody there to see and believe it!!! But they sure do a lot for our self confidence.

It's very pleasurable when we make a shot that even we feel will require a bit of luck. I too have had some of those.
But many years ago,, I had a good shooter tell me; "While many may prefer to be lucky occasionally,, the few who try & make the same thing happen more than once are the folks to be wary of! For a person who can make the really hard stuff happen repeatedly, can be the person to watch!"
But it sure is nice to have someone witness an amazing shot,, and proceed to re-tell the story to others of your prowess.
