...This is my last custom so I gotta figure it out. The last and final Huh? Good luck with that. Looking forward to seeing it's transformation.

I ended up not sending it cuz I didn't like the way some things went particularly the fact that I asked them to install a Barsto and they said I had to supply the part

Sounds like one of my Quest gun projects. Very specific instructions and even sent some special parts to be installed and “Oops” we forgot some some stuff but we will send the part back. Turned out neat but bugged me every time I held it and away it went and the Quest list shrunk by one.

Yes sir, it is like having a little sticker someplace in your hand. You may not see it all the time but it just irritates the heck out of you until you dig it out and get rid of it. And it has nothing to do with the functionality of the finished product or even the appearance. For a guy like me that made his living in customer service, little stuff like that is something that should not happen and if it does, it needs to be willingly corrected, not excused away.

In defense of NH custom saying get the BarSto yourself, I spoke with Jack the other day and he told me he is not outsourcing parts anymore. That if I wanted a SW DX front sight I would need to get it and send it, which I have and am. It may be that availability is so bad they don’t want their work schedule or turn around hinging on someone else. Just a thought.
Like Greg and Robb, little shoddy oversights eat away at me, especially when good money and instruction has been given. The term “I’ll make it right” needs to be adhered to more often, rather than “oh sorry, nothing we can do now”. Real customer service has become an endangered species all over it seems.

For me it was a blessing. I NEED a Porta bracket and a new 200 Suzuki, not another 1911. I'll get more use out of the 200.
