Looks like from your pics over the years, that when talking ground squirrels and such, a .32 IS a big bore.

Guilty on all counts! I’ve been absent from the world’s largest playground for far too long. We had fun and like old times killed just a few of what we saw. They were running everywhere. Just couldn’t get close enough. Once I was lined up and just ready to light the switch and a misquote got in the line of sight. It deflected the shot and the squirrel lived to tell all of his neighbor’s. I think yesterday was the hottest I’ve ever gotten the barrel of the gun. I should have alternated guns but just kept at it with the single six. Success is not just dispatching squirrels, it is just being able get out for a day with Dick. We didn’t have any sunflower seeds to fill his truck with and it was too much fun so we just kept shooting. We left a few for you James.

It's always been a mystery to me how so many of those ground squirrels can play center field when Callshot is shooting. He can fire a shot 15 feet from a squirrel & it will run down that bullet for a perfect hit, never seen anything like it. He calls it skill & kill, I call it sneeze & squeeze. Either way it was a fun time but we weren't prepared for the amount of critters we ran into but we will be next time. There were times when there would be 30-40 out in the dirt road, right in the open, but out of range for our iron sighted guns. As soon as we got a little too close they were gone in the heavy grass & brush as I mentioned before. A 40 yd shot at a clothespin is a tough shot even for a cross eyed biscuit eater like Callshot.

Callshot got about 35 of them, he lost track, counting & reloading isn't his strong suit but he held up well in the shooting part of it...
If you're gonna keep count you've gotta take along a field secretary. A man can't be stopping to run a pencil when there's revolver work to be done.
