Saw a used but gorgeous 4 inch Smith 19-9 Classic tonight at a local shop. Action smooth with a very tight lock up. I'd rate it at 95% plus condition. $799 is the price. Is that price in line with used Smiths like this?
Sure had a nice feel.

If I wanted one I would expect to pay in the 700-850 range. For the most part.

I’ve been casually looking at online listings recently and $800 seems to be the floor for “vintage” 19s unless you’re looking for a project or something that looks like it was drug behind a truck everywhere it went. I’d say that’s a pretty decent price for a lock model 19 as well.

I see no mention of barrel length and that usually weighs in heavily on prices. In the K frame world, the 2 1/2" or 3" snubs sell highest followed by the 4" guns. 6" or longer, while being wonderful belt guns will often languish behind.

4 inch barrel. (Edited OP to include...).
Although I was out perusing the Colt line up this used Smith did catch my eye. Very tempting.
But so are a dozen others there.
