I have a the above mentioned revolver with the sharp cylinder throats leads that cuts the lead rings with cast bullets. I’ve seen/read of a guy that corrects these, but can’t for the life of me remember who or where I seen this. Do any of you have contact info for this gentlemen? Thanks.

He is dougguy on the Ruger forum. Here is the link to his facebook page: www.facebook.com/CylinderhoneYou also might check with Fermin (2dogs) on here. He likely can do that as well.

I can't remember who that is, but I bet Ronnie Wells could fix them. And you're smart to want them honed. There's no better way to get dead nuts on dimensions and finish. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Doug guy is also on Castboolits site. He does great work! He honed several of my cylinders, he’s quick too.

Cylinder hone recuts the lead to the throats from the silly sharp angle of the factory specs to a more middle angle. Eliminates those lead shaving donuts. Since he's using a Sunnen machine it's very concentric and mirror smooth.
