I’ve recently acquired a beautiful 5.5” Redhawk 41 Mag. I’ve replaced the factory grips with moose antler, done an action/trigger job, and now it’s needing a shuck (holster). I’ve got a couple in mine, but I’d like to hear everyone’s favorite shuck for their Redhawk.

Make your own! All my favorite holsters are the ones I made. Not a single one is perfect but it sure adds to the enjoyment of carrying them.

Love the grips. Who made them?

Kim I’ve got one I’ll send a pic to you, it’s a nice holster I like it it’s a crossdraw I just don’t care for the maker telling me what size belt it was going to come fit for. I believe it’s a 2” or possibly 2.25” belt. The Barranti Longhorn Companion for large frame Ruger works well also.
BTW, I picked up a 7.5” with rings the other day so you can feel better about getting that one from me when i was out of cell service. Trapr

"Doc" Barranti would be my only shuck maker for a gun like that.

Trapr, the LHC is at the top of my list.
Bamagreg, 45MAN turned me on to these grips. They’re off eBay by Nathan Henning (Antlerc-1) of Flagstaff, AZ. I may be wrong, but I think he also, or used to, works for Gary Reeder building grips.

My favorite rig for my Redhawks is the Diamond D Guide’s Choice. It is of course a chest holster. For belt carry I have tried several but the Galco DAO works best for me.

I’ll second Barranti, Diamond D, and add an El Paso Saddlery tanker holster suggestion. I think a chest rig is the way to go.
Reeder used to refer to his grip maker Nathan, so presumably he’s the same. It looks like his style.

X2 the Redhawk holsters El Paso makes are right. Doc made me a Scout for a 5" .500 that's awesome, and he also made me one of the newer Border Lawman holsters for another gun, but I personally think a Border Lawman would be a good one for the Redhawk too. That's my $.02 on what you should do.

Nice revolver. Not one you see everyday either. I have a 7.5 inch .41 redhawk. Great fun. ...tj

If you want a belt rig go with the Barranti cross draw, I've had most of mine so long I can't remember but I think it's 2DXD, might be wrong. Go with the North West Hunter if you want a shoulder rig, very comfortable with the big six guns & adjustable in all directions.
