I am playing with a Ruger 22/45 with a RDO attached. Shooting same weapon open sight versus RDO, I am finding it isn't that I cant shoot, I cant see. I am finally enjoying this weapon but find the trigger to be mushy and inconsistent. Has anyone here actually tried a replacement trigger or set of aftermarket trigger parts that was better than factory? I can find a couple spendy options online but want to make sure I am getting what I pay for before ordering. Opinions and suggestions appreciated.

Alex Hamilton in San Antonio did my Mk2, and replaced the barrel with a Hammerli barrel. It’s a 1” or better gun at 50 with a red dot on it. Clark also does or did Ruger auto work, back when Jimmy was alive, do not know if they still do or not.

Good experiences with the Volquartsen part set here too. It eliminates that danged magazine disconnector. My 22/45 based 22s have evolved to the full Volquartsen. PM coming.

Man I wish I could give you a good answer. lol I have a Tandemkross trigger, but I'm pretty sure I have a Volquartsen... something. lol Two somethings actually, one part I bought wasn't for the model I have, but it wasn't worth returning so I tossed it in a box somewhere. Hehehe... just looking at the Volquartsen site, I'm recognizing parts in my "miscellaneous box of take off parts", things I've been looking at for a while and thinking "What is that? And what did it come out of?" Based on that, I have one of their sears, hammers at the least.

Trapr Clark still offers a few Ruger pistol parts; not sure that they still do any smiffin' on them. They don't advertise it, if they do.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will be going Volquartsen in the sometime near future. Keep an eye on their clearance page and eBay store. They run some really good specials pretty regularly.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will be going Volquartsen in the sometime near future. I'm a big Ruger .22 fan, MKIIs mostly. Do you have an update for us?

No update. My Father is in the hospital in serious condition and I am running the ranch by myself. No time for fun and games. Only reason I am on now is it just finished raining outside and I am waiting for the moisture to dry so I can go back to running the tractor and shredder. Thanks all.
