With Kahr Arms buying Magnum Research is the BFR's day's limited?

I doubt it. Kahr has very little product overlap. They might eliminate the small and mid-size MR autopistols but there's no reason not to continue the BFRs and DEs. They might also see it as a way into the 1911 market. The overlap with Kahr is in the "baby eagle" and "micro eagle" lines.

I didn't hear about that. Maybe that explains all the dumping of excess inventory over the past 6-12 months - getting the books ship-shape.

So many are into the 45 market and the polymer guns, too, I would hope they see the wisdom of keeping the BFR lines mostly intact. dk

I could do without the stretch frame guns in calibers like .500, .460, 45-70 and 30-30. That's just an opinion of course. None of those rounds have any redeeming value in that patform in my book. Novelty at best.
I hope the revolvers stay but we know it is about money.

I believe they are priced well and shoot very well indeed. A novelty possibly but this is what makes things tick and is the lifes blood of creativity.

I sure hope they make it. The BFR is a fine revolver as is and can be made quite refined by a good gunsmith. While I tend to feel the same as COR about stretch frame guns. The 45/70 and the 30/30 are insanely over sized they are also flat out fun to shoot.

Sound crazy but I'd like to see the strech frame guns offered in standard shorter barrel lengths.

Speaking of long frames and silly big, novelty. I've been after it for about 3 years and finally got it from a friend. It's one of two that were built up, a BIG frame BFR with 10.5" barrel in .375 JDJ!
I have scoped it with a 2X Leupold and have a bunch of cast bullets loaded up to see if it will shoot w/o locking up the cylinder. I can make it work on some level. If it will the neat 260-270 gr. spire points will be kind of funny for that 5-shot revolver.
IT IS HUGE! CARTOONISH! But what fun. Slick as a whistle with smooth as silk action.

I knew you'd chime in...you the first fella who let me handle that 45-70 at the first hunt we went on I think. I don't hate the idea but it's like a fat girl or a scooter... ;D
