I'm getting ready to send off to Bowen for one of his .50 Specials to play with, and have decided to play with some other brass lengths of the .500 Linebaugh case as well.
Does anyone on here have .510 GNR headstamped brass from Reeder?
If so, who makes it, what brand is it etc?
What is actual OAL of it, I'm finding conflicting measurements...
Can someone send me a piece or two to measure myself and keep around if I send them the $ 4 shipping?

You haven’t sent that gun yet?
No help on the brass….. Call Reeder?
Hamilton suggested to me many years ago that the .510 GNR really made the most sense of all the .510 choices.
Mild to wild….
Kinda like a big .480 Ruger

GNR headstamp brass is no longer available. Cartridge Performance Engineering was the company that supplied GNR brass that was made by Hornady. They closed several years ago and no one knows what became of the inventory.
There was a guy selling 510 GNR brass on Gunbroker for $3 a piece. He no longer has them listed.
The 510 GNR is a great cartridge. I’ve had a custom revolver in 510 for about 20 years. It will handle a wide range of bullet weights and you can load it up using 500 Linebaugh data simply by seating the bullet out to Linebaugh length.
I have one bag of 510 headstamp brass that I’m holding on to. My original supply of 510 brass has been loaded so many times that I lose about 10% at each loading due to split necks. I currently use 500 Linebaugh brass that I cut back to 1.245”

Great. That's what I needed to see. Not what I read but now I know.

No, I still don't have the build gun. I finally got one out of a distributor last week serial ending in 051, but then the warehouse guys jumped the gun & grabbed a random as usual, but sales guy caught it & turned it around. Right one is spose 2 ship in morning. I think Bowen is likely right on the GNR brass, especially to run at the level I want with H110 or 4227. I run 2400 in full length brass for a 440 at 1200 & it works but would rather run a full case of one of the others. Kinda like a big .480 Ruger

Could you ever buy the .475 Ruger brass early on, or was that just some leftover factory ammo in that brass before they renamed it?
