Bear Hug Grips. Finally Found

Back in 1990, after reading an article in a gun magazine (I don’t remember who wrote it or what magazine) about Bear Hug grips I decided to order a set for my then new 629 Mountain Gun. I decided on the style and materials, traced my hand per Mr. Deason’s instructions and mailed off my check for $85. When I received them that gun quickly became my favorite as the grips fit my hand perfectly and really tamed the recoil of the light weight 44. About 10 years later I got in a pinch and had to sell a few of my guns. I kept the grips hoping to get another gun someday to put them on. Somehow they got misplaced and I gave up hope of ever finding them since we had since moved to a new town. Well a couple of weeks ago while cleaning up some things in the basement I came across a bag inside a box of old photos and inside was the grips and a few other gun related items. They now reside on my 5” 629 Classic hopefully to never be lost again!

I understand, I have moved many times and lots of time to a different town in the state or to a state across the country. I have experience those circumstances many times. I am happy to see you found such a treasure. Hope you get to enjoy them for many years to come.
