I just edited an earlier post. I do not want to offend anyone nor break any rules here.
I'm hoping to dig into my stash of other .41 mag handloads to give this gun another workout this weekend. I'm going to try out a few other grips to see what I prefer on it too. The factory Target grips all are a little big for my paws.

One of the most accurate double actions I ever shot was a 6" 57 that belonged to a buddy. Congrats on snagging one.

Nice catch! I've had a 6.5" 657 Classic Hunter for a long time, had owned a M58 previously, but this year got an 8 3/8" 57 and find a need for different grips on it as well. Got some rubber Pachmayr that should be more comfortable, the shooting will tell, I'm also of average mitt size and those factory jobs are a bit much. I hadn't considered it, but the target trigger is a huge change from the skinnier versions and I can see why people sometimes change that out. Best of luck with yours, they all seem to have the accuracy covered.

Maestro Al Plass at S&W fit a narrow trigger to my 8-3/8” M-29 for silhouette; didn’t notice a difference between narrow and wide S&W triggers in the steel game. For double action shooting of the N-frame with 6 and 8-3/8” barrel, I get along with all three S&W triggers----narrow, Target, and the middle-width Combat. Prefer narrow for shooting the N frame M-27 3-1/2” .357 Mag. double action. Prefer Combat width for double action with 4” M-29, mine fashioned my own with blended shoulders from the wide Target long before S&W introduced its Combat trigger in 1980 on the Model 629. And while we’re at it on the 4” M-29, mt preference is to bob the Target hammer, and to preserve original width. My old 6-1/2” M-29 wants nothing but the original everything, including Target trigger and Target hammer for all work in single action and double action, and what a honey it is. Pachmayr used to offer the N frame Presentation on small and large sizes. I prefer the N frame Pachmayr Gripper to the large size Presentation. David Bradshaw

I managed to dig into my deep box of odds & ends of all kinds of stuff, and came up with a set of Pachmayr grippers. They too are my preferred grips for the N-frames. I'll be using them the next time it goes out.
