Don't forget the Clark Long Slides. He made 38 Special and 45 versions with Bomar ribs. There were half ribs and full ribs. There were no manufactured "long slides" out there so Clark made his own. He took two Colt slides and made one. With the full length rib it was called a "Long Heavy Slide." This is my 45. Use your imagination and you can actually see the weld where the slides were put together. The underside of the slide is marked 5 74 meaning it was made in May of 1974. Makes it 50 years old. Not a Clark historian on these things but they were being made in the 60s.
