Savage heavy barrel single shot rifles.
I had two back in the 80’s, a 220 Swift and a 243 Winchester. The Swift was a tack driver. My then 12 year old son won a local bench rest match with it. Granted, not a lot of competitors, but he beat his Dad.
Both sold long ago, but I still have a Ruger heavy barrel Swift that gets out from time to time.

I worked in a gun store back in the early 1980s and had a used Savage heavy barrel single shot come through in 22-250 caliber. I believe the model number was 112. I think with the scope it weighed about 11-12 pounds.
