I've got two of those. Both are excellent guns.
Well fit and finished. Accuracy shows the tolerances are correct.

I've wanted one of those for years. That's not a bad price either. Wish Ruger would offer that large flattop frame as a regular catalog item like they did the medium frame.

Just a good Flattop 45 Colt on the large frame would be awesome... Sooooo buy it and punch out the cylinder and add a barrel 😉 I'm fighting off the overwhelming desire to do just that to the one I paid $250 for. But, I'm not capable of doing anything simple. It would have to be blocked, action job, SBH Hammer, etc... Still, it's so tempting...

I have looked for one of these of and on for years. I have seen a couple for less money, but not lately. If I was shopping today, I would grab that one.

I guess it's a good thing I don't have a membership on that forum. Then I would probably be plotting up on scraping the money together to get it. Then I would have to scrape up even more money to send it to Ronnie to become a 480/475 convertible which would just have to go to Bobby for case color. Then it'd be so pretty and perfect it'd be off to NC Ordnance for elephant ivory, which would just have to have some scrimshaw. Then there'd be a real need for some of Doc's Lawrence style carved leather. And....

My first one was bought as a base gun for a 500 JRH Build. But, it was so well fit and finished, I couldn't do it.
