WAS CRUISING THE INTERNET AND DID NOT FIND AN ANSWER. I HAVE XTRA FIRING PINS FOR THE MODEL 83, WILL THEY WORK IN A MODEL 97? THE SPANNER WRENCH/BIT FOR MY MODEL 83's FITS ON A MODEL 97 45 COLT I HAVE. WONDERING IF I NEED TO ORDER MODEL 97 SPARE FIRING PINS OR NOT.

As above minus the rimfire pistols. They have a two tits on one pin that strike top and bottom of the rim. Best to call customer service to verify but I would tend to think that the old man was smart enough to just inventory one pin for centerline revolvers.

I have a spare for each. From FA, they came in labeled zip-lock bags - one says "M83", the other says "M97". In a bit, I'll put the calipers on them. They don't LOOK any different.
They're definitely different. M97 smaller body, and smaller dia. spring.

Your question reminds me that my .454 "bushingless" needs to get upgraded. I used to figure I'd just wait until it was necessary - but now I'm thinking I need to do it to be more salable when the time comes.
