I just got back from overhaul a SBH k hornet and I was wondering how well the # 3 might work up as a pairing? Have a nice day Don K

Probably just fine. I have a Kimber 82 in k-Hornet that is a nice shooter. Not a tack driver, but pleasant and fun.

I have a Cooper Model 38 Hornet that I re-chambered to K-Hornet. Easy to do (if you have the reamer), and so far, I’m very happy with it.

I have a CZ 22 Hornet that I wouldn't do anything to under any conditions. It's shoots that good! I have zero trouble with brass life and I have really good velocity with either the Hornady A Max and V Max. Accuracy is a consistant 3/8 inch hole for five shots over and over and over. Now tell me why I would ream it to a K Hornet?

The no 3 will have a 14 twist as I recall so it'd be a nice pairing if your chosen bullet weights work out of both guns.
I've tried pistol/rifle combos in bottle neck rounds and it's not always convenient as it is with straight walled cases. If you ream a No 3 to K Hornet, send the SBH cylinder to the gunsmith so they can make the head spacing as similar as possible. A dummy round made for the SBH will help the gunsmith cut the correct throat. Also plan to full length size if you're gonna share ammo between the two.
Even pairing Bullberry Contender barrels in 7-30, one pistol and one carbine, if I load to fit the gun they can't share ammo. One has shorter headspace, the other a shorter throat. So if I bump the shoulder and load to the lands neither gun will chamber ammo loaded for the other.

I would personally rebarrel it to to a matching twist rate as the revolver… if they don’t currently match…
The new Super, with a 9 twist barrel is interesting to me, as I built a custom on a Taurus Raging Hornet, with a 9 twist over a decade ago, and the faster twist opens a lot of possibilities

That faster twist certainly does open a lot of possibilities. Look how long it took the to be able to have a faster twist in the 22-250.
