Well I filled a hole in my Six series collection courtesy of Poulin Auctions. Got a rare low back frame (150- s/n) Security Six, .357 Mag, 2 3/4" barrel Stainless Steel. I have a 4", now need a 6" (even harder to find). Now on to see if they made any stainless fixed sight Security Sixes (now called the Police Service Six or Service Six) in 2 3/4" and 4". I don't think they did but with Ruger you never say never. This one is/was a tough one to find. Click to enlarge

Congrats!
I know this is for a collection, but have you shot any low back guns and if so what's your impression?

Oh, I've shot plenty of Rugers low back DA guns. The first gun I was legally allowed to buy (by myself) was a Security Six, 6", blued, .357 Magnum low back frame. The grips was so-so and I didn't really like the feel in my hand (I have pretty big hands) so I looked around and got a pair of Herrett Shooting Star grips and liked those a whole lot better. Ruger got feedback from users (LE types) that weren't real good so they redesigned the grip frame to what is now called the high back grips and those were much better and you could get a wider variety of after market grips.
That said, the gun itself was a great shooter, tough as nails and accurate. I actually used it when I was shooting Bullseye competition in the mid 70's (the .22, centerfire, .45 course of fire).
