Searched apf on here and found nada.
Are they made by someone else? APF makes parts for other folks I guess.
Any insight?
Nothing on GI or GB either except the parent company
No revolvers
Thank you

Alfa-Proj? They are Czech-made, if I'm not mistaken, but that hammer looks a lot like and RIA. I've not kept up, but the Philippines has been [icking up a lot of scope/optics business for US brands of late, so maybe some are made there. Parts: advancedtactical.com/alfa/APF site:

What I'm seeing is the $400, Czech-made Alfa-Proj revolvers of just a few years ago (twenty-teens) gussied up, rebranded and bumped up in price by $800. I'd bet money that inside the cylinder frame, or under the grip panels it says "Made in The Czech Republic." An old guy once told me "don't try to GIVE puppies away - put $10 on them or people will think they're not worth anything." He got rid of a number of litters rather quickly that way and I ended up with two extra dogs for the following fifteen years, just trying to GIVE some away. Maybe the expectation is that if you price them like Colts, people will assume they are getting something "as good as" a Colt?
EDIT: If someone is looking for a really nice 357 Mag right now, look at the latest Rossis. I got the RP63, a fixed-sighted, 3" model and it's one of the nicest... maybe THE nicest revolver I've ever bought. They look WAY better than any of the Smiths or Rugers I see on the shelf today. I paid less than $400 for mine, new.
EDIT II: Bob, if you want to come pick it up, you can borrow it for a while and see. I don't even have time to shoot right now and probably won't this summer!

Chasing info is hard these days. Thanks for the info. And the offer. Remember when 1911 meant Colt? How many people make them now? I’m knee deep in sorting out life and possessions. I may travel and we’ll guilt each other into shooting all the guns. Always more fun with friends!!!!

Another recent medical malady in the household binds me to the home for the foreseeable future.
Otherwise, a trip in your direction and a weekend of lifting and hauling - at your command - would be in my immediate future.
Yeah, 1911 = Colt, at one time.
Guess what... that new Rossi is actually MADE by Taurus, so no, there's no keeping up, but Taurus did a bang-up job on it and outdid their own line with the new Rossis - on purpose.

Regarding the Rossi RP63, I fully agree. I picked one up recently, and it really is a fantastic gun, especially considering the price, which belies the quality of this little gem.
