I though we could use a little humor with all the serious stuff going on in the world. The dumbest post I ever saw was someone asking what was the largest number of nose hairs you've pulled out at one time. Don't answer that question, just post some of the strange questions you've seen on a gun forum over the years.

The dumbest I've heard as of yet is "Can you use grains of sand instead of Kapok or Dacron for space filler?"

Yea you can use sand if you dont mind a detonation instead of an controlled explosion. If it didnt happen to blow up how many rounds before the rifling was gone? Oh brother that was great.

obviously Wil Terry didn't make it here yet or we'd be on page three already.

A while back, there was an article in one of the gun mags about crazy excuses reported to Customer Service reps of various gun MFGs. My favorite was "the dog ate my gun". Stuff really does happen. We rescued a 10 month old lab. She handn't had a lot of attention/exercise. She was into everyting. Anyway, she chewed the magazine base plate off my "pillow gun", a glock 20. Stuff was everywhere. Anythin is possible.

Ouch, did the mag still function after you put a new baseplate on? OR did she chew up the body too.

One I see all the time is: " What's the best load for such & such caliber"? Seems as though people don't like reading loading manuals or working up their own loads. Even if I did take a load from someone I didn't know I'd sure check it against loading manuals. Frank

Those ones make me chuckle a little too, I just tell them my max load and if they aren't smart enough to reduce them then, well, you should follow the basic safety rules.

Oh, you mean things like "Should I save my .22 LR brass for reloading?"
Or maybe "Ar you luking for girlfrind?"
I'm not sure what the dumbest post/question has been, but there's sure a lot to choose from!
