I finally got to shoot my SA-35 yesterday. It was very good. It was cold wet and windy, and I am out of practice. I did not do the gun Justice. I was shaking from the cold. Trying to consistently hit whatever scraps of logging debris I was shooting at required very slow deliberate shooting. I had 1 empty case get caught in the ejection port. Very easy to clear and it functioned perfectly other than that. I put 120 Rounds of 115 Hard ball through it. And 1 clip full of Remington 115 grain HPs. I like the gun and will look forward to trying it again when the warm weather gets here. ...tj

Congrats, they are a lot of fun. A High Power/GP/P35 had been on my "sorta want' list for 40+ years when I finally jumped on the SA35. I now regret taking so long to get around to them. Mine has around 1k rounds through it and the only bobble was a handloaded 115xtp running aground on the feed ramp from a full 15 round (short follower) mag at slide drop. Lately I've seen some online reports of inaccurate guns but believe those to be a reflection of the ammo or shooters themselves. I discovered that the inexpensive Skorpio (Czech?) ammo has undersized bullets and terrible accuracy. Everything else has been acceptable to great.

I'm a big fan of the SA-35, it has become one of my most carried handguns. I've put a lot of rounds through it so far, including using it in an Action Pistol match, in which it ran flawlessly. It has fed all of the JHPs (115, 124 & 147 grain) that I have shot through it and all of the FMJs as well. I like it so much that I am considering buying another, as soon as I stop buying revolvers. If a person is inclined towards the Hi-Power type of handgun, I believe this is the one that they should seriously consider. Springfield knocked it out of the park with this one. Congratulations on a great choice.

Been a HiPower fan for years but haven’t had one here in a while. A few months ago I bought a SA-35 and have been most pleased. I’ve only got 12-1300 rounds through it so far and zero issues. I’ve shot FMJ, HP, and cast reloads to good effect. Accuracy is better than I can shoot offhand with my old eyes/body. I like and carry it a lot.
