A seller had two customs by Alan Harton listed in the Custom revolver section on Guns International. A 475 bisley and an 8 shot 22 lr.

The 22 marking of +2 is a fun way to indicate a custom cylinder and all the work that goes along with it. Slotted pins. Aggie01 front sight. I thought it was stained oak until I saw it was bog oak, and now I think it needs to be polished and a high gloss finish applied.
The 475 didn't look like Harton initially with the cyanide coloring, but the rebarrel and refinish by Bobby Tyler explain that. I like the hybrid Baughman/TLA front sight profile.
Both priced reasonably for full build customs, even if you needed to spend a little to have the octagon barrel installed. $4k for an octagon Harton gun was a good deal pre Covid.

But 3,300 for a 22 is hard to swallow. Is that an Aggie or Stroh front sight?

Seller posted on FB that he had Bobby switch that octagonal barrel out due to poor accuracy with some explanation why octagonal barrels aren’t accurate. I disagree but what do I know? Nuthin’…. Look at the targets. 10 and 15 yards?

Geezer, fat finger in tiny boxes, whatever you want to call it, I fit the bill!!!
As far as $3300 for a 22 lr goes, why not? Same high quality has a bigger bite gun but a lot easier on the ears and pocketbook to shoot. I added another Quest gun to the list by Ronnie Wells and it will be a dual cylinder 22lr/22 mag gun.

$3300 for a fun gun you shoot alot or $3300 for a big bore slobber knocker you're going to shoot maybe one a year.

Do the grips seem not fit very well?? Or is it my eyeballs?? There seem to be a lot of grip strap showing on both front and rear. Pretty guns, and I don’t understand the shooting for accuracy at 10 or 15 yards, the 10 yard target to me shows vertical stringing which should be grip irregularities. I’d much prefer the Octagon to the round. Very seductive pricing!!!

On mine it's a little less than ideal but I quit chasing perfection when I looked in the mirror.
Edit: meanin' it ain't in this house.
