never heard of them before... my buddy bought one at the last gun show... a satin finish stainless NAA look a like... but with a molded "cover" that at the push of a button, the gun pops out like a switch blade... this one was in 22 magnum, 5 shot... improved over the NAA mini, cylinder pin attachment, half cock notches between the chambers the "cover" folds out to a full sized grip...
I didn't get to shoot it, but my buddy is a steel fabricator, & hasn't been carrying, because his belt is full, & often is grinding, for this one, he has made room in one of his pockets...
anyone else have one??? he seems reasonably impressed with it, except for the power, with the ammo he got with the gun... I told him I'd give him a box of the Speer short barrel 22 Magnum to try in it... see if that is any better...

Not much of a barrel there to build velocity.
I don't know what is available for 22 mag ammo, but maybe go with a heavier bullet for more penetration?
It might be worth setting up some wet newspapers for a test...

There is some “short barrel” 22 mag ammo on the market now. I’m guessing faster powders for such pistols as these. I use the cci speer gold dot ammo in my NAA. It says it’s one of those formulated for short barrels.

Used to carry one of the FA mini 22lr revolvers as a deep cover piece. 4 rounds into the center of the chest of a 148 pound guy hopped up on khat from 10ft, CCI minimags. Didn't even slow him down. The only way I cut through the dope was when I jammed it straight into his eye. My partner then shot him in the butt with a 380. That worked pretty well.
None of the shots penetrated the breast bone. I changed to the Detonic 45 the next day.

Clear ballistics gel and YouTubers opinions do about as much for us in reality as your 4 rounds did to that guys breast bone. |
