KEVIN: NICE "OLD TIME" LOOK ON A CLASSIC 1950 OF YESTERYEAR. Thank you. That revolver…well, there is a story. An acquaintance of mine on another forum contacted me about that revolver. We chatted for a bit, me about the history, he about the accuracy. Then, he mentions it is for sale. I ask when did it ship and he has no idea. I get the serial number and find out it shipped in July, 1955. That would make it a birth year revolver for me. I am looking for such a beast but I am rather picky and want a Model 1955 from that year so I pass. Maybe a week goes by and Herself asks me if I have seen this revolver for sale. I look at the ad and say yep, I passed on it. I explain the difference between a Model 1950 and a Model 1955, even drag a couple out to show her. A “discussion “ ensues, long story short, I am told to buy it! Arrangements were made and I met the fellow a couple or three weeks later. Here it is with my Model 1950 from May, 1952. The 1952 is the top revolver. I have only squeezed off 6 from the birth year Model 1950. I cut cardboard targets using the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket for my template. I had one out about 80 yards among some brush. My first shot was low, 4 of the next 5 were hits. Not bad for a new revolver! Kevin

So, since you have a birth day revolver, you don’t need a birth month revolver.
