With a somewhat nicer rifle here now, decided to upgrade some cleaning supplies, implements. So a Tipton 1pc carbon fiber wrapped 36" rod is inbound. Now looking at chamber/bore guides. What do y'all think of using bore guides ? Religious about it ? Have a favorite ? Am looking at a Pro Shot Products item.

Thank You. Not seeing for my rifle. Tried their search, and page , well nothing happened. Looked at MidwayUSA yesterday, Brownells this am. Seems the white poly type are pretty specific to make/model/cal.. Haven't seen one for Savage 110/112 6.5 CM.

You can make a chamber bore guide with an old case and chunk of aluminum/copper/pvc tube. I used and old aluminum arrow shaft and a cut off case for one of mine.

Thanks BBD. I went on to find a Pro Shot Product, 22-30 cal adjustable version. Found online, but called LGS's and found it nearby. Will go grab it tomorrow.

If interested, Mike Lucas makes really nice custom bore guides, my favorite. I have some from Sinclair as well. Edit to add that Pro Shot products are excellent.

The Pro-Shot Product , The Stopper is in hand. MADE in USA. Fits 22-30cal, a great many common actions, long and short will fit. Also some less common, like my 1917 Enfield ! Initial impression is good, am happy.
